Does all produce have contaminants?
Yes! Over 80% of all produce world-wide have surface pesticide residues. The remaining 20% or so are organically grown produce, which should still be washed to insure safety. Other unwanted contaminants from handling, such as human perspiration and handling, oils, dirt and exhaust fumes from shipping, also need to be washed away.

Why can't I use household soaps or bleach on produce?
Household soaps contain many undesirable chemicals that can be hazardous if ingested. Furthermore, these detergents can penetrate the skin of the produce making it impossible to rinse.

Is your Fruit and Vegetable Wash safe if ingested?
Yes, it contains nothing that is toxic to the human body.

How do I use your Fruit and Vegetable Wash?
Apply a small amount directly to individual pieces of produce. For larger and harder to clean items such as grapes, broccoli, lettuce etc. simply fill up a bowl with water and add approximately 1 TBS per quart of water. Agitate the water with the produce for up to 30 seconds, apply vegetable brush if needed. Rinse thoroughly. Use a colander for delicate items such as herbs, mushrooms and berries.
Are You Kosher certified?
Yes, we have proudly been Kosher certified through the Central Rabbinical Congress of the United States and Canada since 2003.
Why do my apples have white spots on them after being washed?
The surface glue that you "lifted" while washing or scrubbing will dry in the form of white spots, if not dried immediately with a towel.
I buy Organic, do I need your Fruit and Vegetable Wash?
Yes. "Drift" from spraying at nearby non-organic farms, possible mislabeling and various organic fertilizers are potential hazards that need to be washed off. There are also other unwanted contaminants from handling such as human perspiration, oils, dirt and exhaust fumes from shipping. These undesirable contaminants need to be washed away.
How are the Concentrate and ready-to-use formula different?
They are exactly the same formula with the exception that the Concentrate is double the concentration of cleaning agents. This product is perfect for the commercial and volume user. The ratio of concentrate to our ready-to-use formula is 1:1 or one part water to one part concentrate.
Why should I use natural cleaners?
Current research indicates there is a strong correlation between the rise of respiratory problems and the use of "traditional" cleaners that are prevalently found in households. Approximately 80,000 chemicals in common use today have NEVER been checked for possible harmful effects on adults AND children. The manufacturers of these chemicals are not required to list ingredients found in traditional cleaners, including some that are known carcinogens.
What should I look for on a cleaner label, to avoid unnecessary toxins in our home?
Buy products with caution labels ("mild irritant") vs. warning labels (toxic, dangerous chemicals).
